Among the local stars in attendance were Izzy Zapata, Chris Fox, Josh Simmons, and Rob Martinez, widely recognized from Season 5 of the hit Netflix reality show "Love is Blind." The event was further graced by the presence of Mrs. Texas 2023 Lynne Dowell, who delivered inspiring opening remarks at the shotgun start of the tournament. Her presence added a touch of elegance and advocacy to the event, as her own philanthropic efforts align perfectly with the Foundation's commitment to creating meaningful change in the lives of those in need.
“The Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to the success of the Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament,” said Founder Justin Talasek. “I can’t explain how thankful I am to be a part of this mission. It’s been incredible to see the community join in solidarity to support those who need it most. Together, we will change the world for the better.”
Looking ahead, the JET Talasek Foundation will be hosting a Holiday Gift Distribution Assembly on Dec. 18 at Spring Branch Elementary, a school that serves a low-income population in the West Houston area. Ninety-four percent of these students are living below the poverty line. The Foundation will be providing winter jackets to all 4th and 5th graders, along with a small gift for every single child at the elementary school.
